Hon. Diane Elan Wick

Superior Court of San Francisco County

Judge Wick was sworn into the superior court on January 12, 1998, and into the municipal court on January 12, 1989. Before joining the bench she was with Nielsen, Merksamer, Parinello, Mueller & Naylor from 1985. She was Deputy City Attorney for the city and county from 1981 to 1984 and Assistant District Attorney for the City and County of San Francisco from 1980 to 1981. She has been an assistant to the Speaker of the California Assembly, a Consultant in public affairs to committees and candidates, and an administrative assistant to chief executive officers of Fortune 500 companies.

Judge Wick is active in many community organizations and government committees. She chaired the Courthouse Move Committee for the San Francisco Trial Courts, and was a member of the Courthouse Construction Committee, which was responsible for the development of the Civic Center Courthouse in San Francisco. In 1994 she received the Trial Judge of the Year Municipal Court award from the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association. She received her Juris Doctor in December 1979 from Western State University College of Law in San Diego.
