VI. Assignment of Debts

§6.01 Debts Incurred Before Marriage

Although the community estate generally is liable during marriage for a debt incurred by either spouse before marriage [see FC §910(a); but see FC §911(a)], at trial you must confirm unpaid debts incurred before marriage to the spouse who incurred it, without any offset. [FC §2621; see FC §913(a).]
