§8.03 Separate Property Contributions to Separate Acquisition

Unless there was a waiver or transmutation [see §8.04], you must order that a spouse be reimbursed for his or her separate property contributions to the acquisition of property of the other spouse's separate property estate during the marriage. If you order reimbursement, exclude interest or any adjustment for change in monetary values, and ensure the amount reimbursed does not exceed the property's net value at the time of division. [FC §2640(c).]
