§6.08 Installment Payments

You may authorize installment payments in a judgment. [CCP §116.620(a).]

The judgment debtor may move to amend a judgment to provide for installment payments. The motion must be supported by good cause, and the clerk must send notice to all affected parties. You should decide the motion without regard to the nature of the underlying debt or to whether the moving party appeared before entry of judgment.
