§2.04 When Is a Notice NOT Required?

If a termination is based on the expiration of a fixed-term tenancy, no notice is required. [See CCP §1161(1); Stephens v Perry (1982) 134 CA3d 748, 757 n4.] No notice is required, as well, when a tenant occupies the property as part of his or her employment (e.g., serving as the apartment manager or caretaker) and that employment is terminated. [See CCP §1161(1).]
