3. In the interim, who will determine salaries and benefits of court employees?

Salaries and benefits of court employees will continue to be set in the same manner, subject to the meet and confer requirements of newly adopted California Rules of Court, rules 2201-2210. These rules govern trial court employee labor relations and procedures, and go into effect on January 1, 1998. The court is responsible for meeting these costs within its authorized budget.
