Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is the task force charged with doing?

The Task Force on Trial Court Employees was created by the Lockyer-Isenberg Trial Court Funding Act of 1997 to study and recommend an appropriate system of employment and governance for trial court employees. In making recommendations, the task force will consider the interests of employees as well as how to minimize disruption of the trial court workforce and protect the rights accrued by employees under their current systems. The task force is charged with completing a comprehensive survey about trial court employees. See Gov. Code, §§ 77600 and 77603.
